Saturday
Newcastle United v Chelsea (12:30 GMT)
Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento has been ruled out of the visit of Chelsea after he sustained a knee injury in the League Cup quarter-final win against Fulham on Wednesday.
"I don't think it's a serious injury, but the complication we have is that Tino has injured that knee before in a very similar area, so that always makes the potential recovery time a little bit longer," head coach Eddie Howe told Friday's press conference.
"So I don't think we will see him before 2026."
Lewis Hall will be assessed after missing the midweek fixture.
Chelsea forward Liam Delap is not available to face Newcastle but he could return from injury in time to take on Aston Villa next weekend, along with Dario Essugo.
Romeo Lavia remains out.
Players out: Newcastle - Burn, Trippier, Krafth, Botman, Livramento, Osula Chelsea - Colwill, Delap, Essugo, Lavia, Estevao
Doubts: Newcastle - Hall
Key FPL notes:
Malick Thiaw (£5.0m) has been arguably the standout member of Newcastle's back-line since he arrived at the club, as evidenced by his 22 defensive contributions in the recent Wear-Tyne derby loss to Sunderland. A brace against Everton a few weeks ago highlights his threat at the other end.
Last weekend Cole Palmer (£10.3m) netted his first goal since September as the Chelsea star continues his comeback from a month-long injury lay-off. He's never scored away at Gameweek 17 opponents Newcastle, but Palmer does have two goals and an assist in his last three matches against the Magpies in the Premier League.
Forward Alejandro Garnacho (£6.4m) hasn't scored for the Blues in the Premier League since Gameweek 10, but in the last two Gameweeks, he has been his team's leader for shots (six) and Opta-defined 'big chances' (three).
Bournemouth v Burnley (15:00 GMT)
Team news for Bournemouth and Burnley will appear here later on Friday.
Key FPL notes:
Over the last four Gameweeks, Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo's (£7.5m) total of 11 shots in the box is the second-highest among midfielders.
Lesley Ugochukwu (£5.0m) managed a game-high four shots for Burnley against Fulham last weekend, putting three on target and scoring one. That's a fourth attacking return for the budget-friendly FPL midfielder in 10 appearances.
Delivering on some decent underlying data as one of FPL's most creative defenders, Clarets full-back Quilindschy Hartman (£4.0m) registered his fifth assist of the campaign last time out.
Brighton & Hove Albion v Sunderland (15:00 GMT)
Brighton are missing captain Lewis Dunk after he received a fifth booking of the season in the defeat at Liverpool last weekend.
Midfielder Diego Gomez is also suspended.
Head coach Fabian Hurzeler told Friday's press conference that Solly March is nearing a return following eight months out with a knee injury.
"He is not for this weekend, but definitely closer," he said.
"It shouldn't be a race to say it has to be before the new year.
"We are all pleased, and we will all be happy if it happens, but I think it's very important to be patient, don't force it and then let's see when it happens."
Sunderland are set to be missing seven players for the trip to the south coast, with five of their squad on international duty.
Chemsdine Talbi, Noah Sadiki, Reinildo, Bertrand Traore and Arthur Masuaku are all at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Midfielder Habib Diarra could make his first appearance since September following injury but he is then also expected to depart to the continental tournament.
Luke O'Nien serves the final game of a three-match ban.
Players out: Brighton - Tzimas, Webster, Dunk, Gomez, Baleba, March Sunderland - Talbi, Sadiki, Reinildo, Traore, Masuaku, O'Nien, Alese
Doubts: Sunderland - Diarra
Key FPL notes:
Yankuba Minteh (£6.1m) was unlucky not to add to his league-leading tally of seven Premier League assists last weekend, having created a big chance. The Brighton winger also fired off three shots of his own at Anfield.
FPL's highest-scoring goalkeeper, Robin Roefs (£4.8m), has helped Sunderland maintain an unbeaten home record, mostly recently with his fifth shut-out of the campaign and three bonus points in Gameweek 16. The Black Cats have struggled more on the road, so Roefs' shot-stopping - he's second top in the division for saves this season - could prove crucial at the Amex Stadium.
Half of Sunderland's away goals scored have come from set-plays, and Dan Ballard (£4.6m) is frequently a threat from those; the centre-back leads the league for headed attempts (11).
Manchester City v West Ham United (15:00 GMT)
West Ham United are missing their preferred full-backs, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and El-Hadji Diouf at the Africa Cup of Nations
Forward Niclas Fullkrug, who has been linked with a move away in January, returned to training on Thursday.
Team news for Manchester City will appear here later on Friday.
Players out: West Ham - Wan-Bissaka, Diouf, Fabianski
Doubts: West Ham - Fullkrug
Key FPL notes:
Manchester City midfielder Rayan Cherki (£6.5m) has more Premier League assists (seven) to his name than he does starts (six) this season. All of those assists - a joint-top number among all FPL players - have come within the last seven Gameweeks, of which he has started five.
Few players in the Premier League are enjoying as good form as City play-maker Phil Foden (£8.8m), whose six goals in the last four Gameweeks is a league-leading mark; so too are his five big chances, while only one player can better his 19 shots in the last six Gameweeks.
West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen (£7.5m) has three attacking returns (two goals and an assist) in his last three matches and remains one of the division's leading shot-takers (18) over the last six Gameweeks.
Wolves v Brentford (15:00 GMT)
Brentford forward Igor Thiago and midfielder Jordan Henderson will both be assessed with a decision set to be made about their availability on Saturday.
The Bees could be missing up to six other players for the trip to Molineux, with Dango Ouattara and Frank Onyeka both at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Team news for Wolves will appear here later on Friday.
Players out: Brentford - Ouattara, Onyeka, Carvalho, Milambo, Dasilva
Doubts: Brentford - Nelson, Henderson, Thiago
Key FPL notes:
Wolves substitute Tolu Arokodare (£5.4m) did well to flick in a late headed equaliser that nearly rescued his side a shock point at Arsenal last weekend. The Nigerian forward has racked up 10 shots this season, only five fewer than first-choice centre-forward Jorgen Strand-Larsen (£6.2m), despite playing over 700 fewer minutes.
Across the 2025-26 season, only Chelsea's Marc Cucurella (£6.2m) has created more chances than the 18 crafted by Brentford full-back Michael Kayode (£4.5m) among FPL defenders.
Kevin Schade's (£7.0m) 20 shots and 15 chances created both rank among Brentford's top three players this season.
Tottenham v Liverpool (17:30 GMT)
Liverpool defender Joe Gomez has been ruled out of the trip to north London because of the muscular injury he sustained against Brighton last weekend.
Cody Gakpo remains out but "could return earlier than expected", according to manager Arne Slot.
Dominik Szoboszlai trained on Thursday and will be assessed, while Conor Bradley is available following suspension.
Mohamed Salah is at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Team news for Tottenham will appear here later on Friday
Players out: Liverpool - Gakpo, Gopmez, Salah, Leoni, Endo
Doubts: Liverpool - Szoboszlai
Key FPL notes:
Midfielder Mohammed Kudus (£6.4m) is responsible for about a quarter of the chances Spurs have created in the Premier League this season, and over a third of the team's total FPL goal returns when he's been on the pitch.
Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike (£8.6m) is the top-scoring Premier League player in the last fortnight with four goals in the last two Gameweeks.
Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz (£8.0m), meanwhile, is producing more consistently; he has created nine chances in the last four Gameweeks - only three Premier League players have more to their name in that time - and earned a first batch of defensive contribution points in Gameweek 16.
Everton v Arsenal (20:00 GMT)
Arsenal defender Gabriel looks set to miss the next three matches after manager Mikel Arteta told Friday's press conference he could return to face Aston Villa on 30 December.
"He is not too far, we have to see in the last days of the rehab how he progresses but we are quite positive about it," said the Gunners boss.
Ben White will miss "a few games" because of a hamstring injury although Riccardo Calafiori is available following suspension.
Team news for Everton will appear here later on Friday.
Players out: Arsenal - Gabriel, Mosquera, Havertz, Dowman, White
Key FPL notes:
In last weekend's loss at Chelsea, Everton defender Michael Keane (£4.6m) missed out on defensive contribution points for only the second time in his last six appearances.
FPL's most expensive defender, Arsenal's Jurrien Timber (£6.5m), remains a solid asset for several reasons: Gameweek 17 opponents Everton are among the league's lowest scorers; his gametime is boosted by positional rival Ben White's (£5.4m) latest injury; and the Dutchman also carries plenty of attacking threat.
There was belated joy for Bukayo Saka's (£10.3m) FPL owners in Gameweek 16, with the Arsenal star being awarded a pair of assists. He's created 13 chances across the last six Gameweeks - including five 'big chances', the most of any Premier League player in that time.
Leeds United v Crystal Palace (20:00 GMT)
Leeds United head coach Daniel Farke told Thursday's press conference he expects to have the same squad available from the draw at Brentford last weekend.
Lukas Nmecha, Daniel James and Sean Longstaff remain out.
Team news for Crystal Palace will appear here later on Friday.
Players out: Leeds - Nmecha, James, Longstaff
Key FPL notes:
Propelling Leeds' turn in form since switching to a 3-5-2 formation, Dominic Calvert-Lewin's (£5.7m) four goals in the last four Gameweeks have come from four big chances - the joint-most of any FPL forward over that period.
Anton Stach (£4.8m) is among the Premier League's leading players for combined chances created and shots (he had six of the latter alone last weekend) over the last four Gameweeks, despite only appearing in three of those games. During that time, the Leeds midfielder racked up a goal and two assists.
Yeremy Pino (£5.8m) leads his Crystal Palace team-mates for shots (six), shots in the box (five), chances created (five) and big chances created (two) over the last two Gameweeks. The Spain international hit the bar against Manchester City last time out, and could pick up even more of the slack going forward with attacking colleague Ismaila Sarr (£6.4m) now absent due to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Sunday
Aston Villa v Manchester United (16:30 GMT)
Team news for Aston Villa and Manchester United will appear here later on Friday.
Key FPL notes:
Aston Villa number 10 Morgan Rogers (£7.0m) registered his seventh and eighth attacking returns of the Premier League season last time out with a second brace in five matches.
Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha (£7.9m) has attempted 16 shots in the last two Gameweeks, at least four more than any other Premier League player.
United captain Bruno Fernandes (£9.3m) has 17 bonus points so far this season, a tally that no other FPL midfielder can better in 2025-26.
Monday
Fulham v Nottingham Forest (20:00 GMT)
Goalkeeper Matz Sels has returned to training after missing Nottingham Forest's past two matches because of a groin injury and is expected to be available.
Taiwo Awoniyi has also been back in training but Willy Boly and Ibrahim Sangare are at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Team news for Fulham will appear here later on Friday.
Players out: Nottingham Forest - Wood, Aina, Yates, Boly, Sangare
Doubts: Nottingham Forest - Awoniyi, Dominguez
Key FPL notes:
Where else to start with Fulham but Harry Wilson (£5.6m), whose three goals and three assists in his last four Premier League games make him the best value pick in FPL on current form. The Welshman has two double-digit point hauls in that time.
Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.7m) came up trumps to help his side beat Spurs last time out with two goals and an assist.
Forest forward Igor Jesus (£5.8m) has racked up 20 shots (all from inside the penalty box) during the last six Gameweeks, the second-most of any Premier League player.
