Luton Town have signed winger Shayden Morris from Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen for an undisclosed fee.

The Hatters failed with two bids for the 23-year-old earlier in the summer but Aberdeen have now accepted an improved offer.

Morris made 86 appearance for the Dons, including as a substitute in last season's Scottish FA Cup final, when they beat Celtic on penalties following a 1-1 draw.

"This is an ambitious club, a massive club, with really passionate fans, and as soon as I knew this could be happening, I looked closely at the club and the squad, and it's really strong," said Morris, who began his career at Fleetwood Town.

Luton face Barnet in the Vertu Trophy on Tuesday before resuming their League One campaign against Plymouth Argyle at Kenilworth Road on 13 September.

On the signing of Morris, boss Matt Bloomfield said: "He offers really good individual ability with his pace and dribbling, and will add some real thrust to our attack with one v one elements in the final third of the pitch.

"There has been a lot of work that has gone into the deal and we are really pleased to have him at our club."

Details of his contract have not been disclosed.

"Shayden has had a really positive impact for the club during my time in Aberdeen," said Dons manager Jimmy Thelin.

"However, he made it clear to us that this was a move he was keen to explore and with his current contract situation the club has ensured it received good value to allow us to continue to invest in the playing squad."
