When is transfer deadline day around the world?

Deadline day for the Premier League and all EFL clubs is set at 19:00 GMT on Monday, 2 February.

This is the same deadline for France, Italy and Germany.

If a move fails to materialise after the window has closed, players and clubs will still have a few options available.

Three windows close later on Monday, Spain and Belgium's windows will shut at 22:59 GMT and Scotland at 23:00 GMT.

The Saudi Pro League window will also shut on Monday.

Should any players be looking for a late move, Portugal and Netherlands both keep their windows open until Tuesday, 3 February.

Turkey and Greece also allows transfers until Friday, 6 February, while Serbia's window shuts on Friday, 13 February.

Switzerland keeps its transfer window open until Monday, 16 February.

Players will also have the option to move to the United States as the Major League Soccer deadline window closes on Thursday, 26 March.

The Women's Super League (WSL) and Super League 2 will keep their transfer windows open until 23:00 GMT on Tuesday, 3 February.

Premier League sides will have to submit their squad list for the rest of the season on Thursday, 5 February.

Traditionally, the Premier League and EFL deadline day falls on 31 January, but because that date was on the weekend, the deadline was shifted to the next weekday.

The earlier deadline of 19:00 GMT is to avoid deals being completed late in the night or early hours of the following morning.

This allows club staff, across departments, to have a regular work pattern.

The earlier deadline also aligns with deadlines in France, Italy and Germany.

Deals can be completed after the deadline, but teams will need to submit a 'deal sheet' at least two hours prior to the window shutting.

This allows a club to confirm that an agreement has been reached and also give themselves more time to submit the remaining documentation.

There is a grace period of two hours - which is until 21:00 GMT in the UK - to complete all the paperwork.
