Melissa Andreatta has handed Scotland Under-23 defender Georgia Brown her first A squad call-up as the head coach names her squad for this month's friendlies against Morocco and Switzerland.

Brown, 23, who plays in the USL Super League for Sporting Club Jacksonville, made her under-23s debut in May and impressed in wins over Iceland.

The towering centre-back is one of four changes from Andreatta's first squad as boss earlier this year, with full-back Kirsty Smith and forwards Mia McAulay and Kirsty Hanson recalled.

English-born Brown, who qualifies through her paternal grandparents, fills the defensive void left by retired former captain Rachel Corsie.

Midfielders Chelsea Cornet and Emma Watson drop out alongside winger Brogan Hay.

Aston Villa's Hanson netted a spectacular goal in their weekend Women's Super League win against West Ham, while Smith has slotted right in at new club, Nottingham Forest, in WSL2. McAulay, 19, has three goals for Rangers in the SWPL this season, including the opener in their Old Firm win.

The Scots travel to Casablanca to take on Morocco in the first of four friendlies before the end of the year on Friday, 24 October, then host the Swiss at East End Park in Dunfermline four days later.

Andreatta's reign kicked-off with a narrow defeat by Austria - which marked their Nations League A relegation - but was followed by an impressive draw against the Netherlands.
