Gabriel Gudmundsson has 15 international caps after making his Sweden debut in 2022
Premier League newcomers Leeds United have signed left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson from French side Lille.
The Sweden international, 26, has signed a four-year deal at Elland Road following a £10m move.
Gudmundsson made 45 appearances last term for a Lille side that finished fifth in Ligue 1, narrowly missing out on a Champions League place to Nice on goal difference.
They also had the second best defensive record in the French top division with 36 goals conceded, bettered only by champions Paris St-Germain's 35.
Gudmundsson, who previously played for Halmstads and Groningen before joining Lille in 2021, scored two league goals during the 2024-25 season and had an 82.1% pass-completion rate.
Also capable of playing as a winger and in central defence, he made nine appearances in the Champions League last season as Lille finished seventh in the league phase to reach the last 16, where they lost to Borussia Dortmund.
He is the son of former Sweden international Niklas Gudmundsson, who played for Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town during a spell in England.
Gudmundsson becomes Leeds' fourth signing this summer following the arrivals of defenders Sebastiaan Bornauw and Jaka Bijol as well as German forward Lukas Nmecha.
Daniel Farke's side start their Premier League campaign at home to Everton on 18 August.
