Schefter breaks news of Rashid Shaheed's return to Seahawks (0:36)
Adam Schefter reports on Rashid Shaheed signing a three-year, $51 million deal to remain in Seattle. (0:36)
The Seattle Seahawks are bringing back wide receiver Rashid Shaheed on a three-year, $51 million deal that includes $34.7 million guaranteed, agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.
Shaheed joins cornerback Josh Jobe as key players returning to the defending Super Bowl champions in free agency.
Seattle, however, has seen both Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III (Kansas City Chiefs) and defensive back Coby Bryant (Chicago Bears) join new teams Monday.
Acquired in a midseason trade with the New Orleans Saints, the speedy Shaheed became a significant part of the Seahawks' Super Bowl run -- mostly for what he did in the return game.
Shaheed, 27, scored three touchdowns on special teams, including a 58-yard punt return that ignited Seattle's rally from a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16. The Seahawks won in overtime to maintain control of the NFC's top seed, and after their first-round bye, Shaheed returned the opening kickoff of their divisional round game 95 yards for a touchdown, setting an early tone in Seattle's blowout win over the San Francisco 49ers.
He was selected to the Pro Bowl as a kick returner for the second time in his career.
Shaheed has been one of the NFL's top deep threats since entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of Weber State in 2022. In 3½ seasons with New Orleans, he had six offensive touchdowns of at least 50 yards, and all but two of his 12 career scores were from at least 30 yards out.
Shaheed, though, produced sporadically on offense in Seattle after reuniting with coordinator Klint Kubiak, who held the same job in 2024 with New Orleans. In 12 regular-season and playoff games with the Seahawks, Shaheed caught 18 passes for 266 yards and no touchdowns. He added 86 rushing yards on 11 attempts.
The Seahawks gave up fourth- and fifth-round picks in this year's draft for Shaheed, which left them with only four selections.
